What are the policies for editing on the standalone version of RMS Mix?
The standalone version of RMS Mix is our economy performance tracks product. It is intended primarily for customers who do not need the extensive editing capabilities or full time editing access offered by our premium Sinfonia resource. That said, standalone RMS Mix does come with limited access to Sinfonia, for basic, low-time demand customization. The key provisions are as follows:
Up to one week* of Sinfonia editing time.
Editing must be completed one week before your first performance, at which point the show is considered locked.
Editing must be done on the same computer used to submit the unlock request for RMS Mix.
The editing time starts when you complete your purchase.
The show 21 Chump Street is an exception to these policies and does not include Sinfonia editing. Please see the 21 Chump Street FAQ for details.
Understanding these parameters will help you plan your booking accordingly. For example, if you know you want to make some edits, but will not have time to do so for several weeks, hold off on your purchase until the appropriate date. If you want to purchase on behalf of someone else who will do the editing, ask that person to submit the original unlock request from his/her computer. They can then forward you the invoice for payment.
If you're not already familiar with Sinfonia editing, we recommend spending time with that free trial prior to purchasing RMS Mix. Quite a lot is possible, from transpositions, cuts, modifying tempos, relative volumes, and more. Familiarizing yourself with the process in advance will help you make the most of your editing time. Note: Sinfonia comes bundled with the RMS Mix installer, so you don't need to download it separately.
You may purchase more editing time and/or unlock additional Sinfonia editing computers if so desired. Please contact us for a quote.
