We've found that, due to the amount of different Windows machines out there, some have misrepresented audio drivers.

Some customers have reported when they plug wired headphones into the computer, and then launch our software and go to Tools > Preferences, and assign their headphones in the Audio tab, they still are not hearing the program through the headphones. Those same customers choose some kind of output driver with "headphones" in the name. We've found that, instead, sometimes, just selecting whatever the default driver happens to be (typically starting with "Realtek"), correctly sends the signal to the headphone jack. A strange phenomena to be sure, but a quick fix under these circumstances.
