Our firewall won't allow the RMS Show Delivery utility or RMS SampleSync to function. What should I do?

Some organizations place restrictions on their networks that prevent Show Delivery Utility and RMS SampleSync (our sound library delivery utility) from running. Here are a few things you can try to work around this:

  1. First of all, make certain you are on the latest version of our software. As of April, 2018 we have changed the location of shows and samples so if you're on an old version of the software, it will not know where to look. Simply download/install a fresh copy from our site and retry before moving on to step 2.

  2. Ask your Network Administrator to open port 873 for traffic, and try downloading the files again. The security settings may be restored once the files are donwloaded.

  3. If the computer may be transported elsewhere, you can try downloading the show/samples at home, or on a different network outside the firewall.

  4. If all else fails, you can use another computer/network to download the files and then transport them via a portable flash drive. You can then use that to load the content onto the computers behind the firewall, bypassing the network. Here are step by step directions on how to acheive this.
